Flossy's Fairy Floss has been Australia's home of premium fairy floss, popcorn and snow cone supplies for 24 years. Family-owned and operated from our Moorabbin, Melbourne base since 2002, we make, sell and rent everything you need to bring the carnival to your event — from a 30g bag of floss to a fleet of commercial machines.

Our story

The story starts in 2002, when we set up the first commercial fairy floss line in Bayswater. What began as a small-batch operation supplying local school fetes and corporate events has grown into one of Australia's longest-running specialty confectionery and event-hire businesses, with customers from Melbourne weddings to national cinema chains.

In 2017 we moved into our current Nellbern Road facility. In 2019 we expanded into full-service event hire across Melbourne.

Through it all we've stayed family-owned and operated. The same hands that spin your floss in 2026 have been doing it since the early years.

What we make

Our fairy floss is spun in-house from Australian sugar. Every flavour — from the five classics (raspberry, blueberry, grape, lime, orange) to the ten specialty flavours (apple, bubblegum, cherry, lemon, marshmallow, pina colada, pineapple, spearmint, strawberry, watermelon) — is blended in our Moorabbin kitchen from food-grade Australian ingredients. Nothing is reseller-stocked.

Our popcorn range starts with raw Australian-grown popping corn and runs through salts, ready-popped packs and machine kits. Our snow cone supplies include syrups, cups, machines and starter kits — everything from a backyard party to a stadium kiosk.

For events that want their own equipment, we sell commercial fairy floss machines, popcorn machines and snow cone machines at every scale, from countertop home units to high-output commercial.

Why Australian-made matters

Most fairy floss sold in Australia is imported pre-spun from overseas, sometimes weeks or months old by the time it reaches the customer. Ours is spun fresh in Moorabbin to order — a softer, lighter, more flavourful product, with shorter freight chains and a smaller environmental footprint. Because our flavour concentrates are blended in-house, we can do things off-the-shelf imports can't: custom 2-colour and 3-colour combinations for weddings, custom label printing for corporate branding, and same-week turnaround on bespoke event orders.

• Retail customers — packed fairy floss bags, Tubafloss® tubs, popcorn snacks and snow cone supplies. Order online for delivery Australia-wide, or visit our Moorabbin shop.
• Wholesale buyers — bulk supply to retailers, cinemas and food-service operators nationwide. Cinemas are a meaningful part of our business: we ship popcorn kernels, popcorn salts and ready-packed fairy floss to cinema operators around Australia.
• Schools, fundraisers and P&Cs — discounted hire and supply packages built around school-fete pricing realities. We've been the fairy floss supplier at hundreds of Melbourne school events.
• Event hire customers across Melbourne — full-service rental of fairy floss, popcorn, snow cone, chocolate fountain, ice cream, slushy, granita and popcorn-cart machines. Full-service means we deliver to your venue, set up the equipment, run it for you during the event, and pack down at the end. Wedding receptions, corporate functions, EOFY parties, school fetes — we handle the floss while you run the event.
